Engineer@Heart

A SHOW CELEBRATING ALL THINGS ENGINEERING

National Engineer’s Week
February 19–25, 2017

Don McMillan has a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He worked for over 10 years in Silicon Valley as a chip designer and manager. After winning $100,000 as the Star Search Comedy Grand Champion in 1993, Don left that world to become a stand-up comedian. But in his heart he’s still – and always will be – an Engineer.

That’s why Don developed “Engineer@Heart”: To celebrate the ways engineers think, live, and interact. Using solid engineering methods to generate comedy, Don has filled his show with graphs, charts, formulas, and complex robust models. Through an Engineer’s eye, Don addresses everything from relationships to statistical analysis to shopping.

If you are looking for a fun way to celebrate Engineer’s Week this year, look no further than “Engineer@Heart.” Don has helped celebrate all things Engineering at many schools through the years including:  Lehigh University, Carnegie Mellon University, Drexel University, Georgia Tech, USC, University of Toledo, Notre Dame, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, University of Arkansas, and Loyola-Marymount.

Here are a couple more examples of what you’ll see…

Don has also performed this one of a kind engineering comedy show (Powered by PowerPoint) at Corporate Engineering events like: Western Digital’s Engineering Day, Oracle Developers Users Group, AutoDesk University, InfoSec World, BAE Systems Patent Awards, GE Medical Systems Patent Awards, Research in Motion Patent Awards, The Design Automation Conference, MicroChip Masters Conference, Cisco Powered Network Operations Symposium and many others. Here’s a peak at some of the corporate comedy Don has developed…

And the best thing about Don is that NO two shows are exactly alike. He works closely with every group to customize YOUR show. If you have Chemical Engineers – Don will break out the Physical Chemistry jokes. If you have a big IT crowd – Don will go LINUX with Open Source versions of all his material. If you’re into Micro Electronics – Don will shrink his punch lines below 100 nm. You will get the most unique comedy show designed just for you.

As a reminder, Engineering Week 2017 is February 19-25. If you are interested in having Don perform at your celebration – or if you just want to have Don at your next event, click below:
